Along with 20 years of web-design and front-end experience, I successfully lead, coach and mentor a happy team of front-end developers and UX designers. I offer clear leadership and delegate very effectively according to people’s strengths. I work well under pressure. I am self-motivated, level-headed, empathic, conscientious, and reliable. I have several years of experience as a scrum master and flourish in an agile environment.

Front-end Developer

I create fully responsive builds, understanding multiple methodologies and frameworks, such as BEM, Vanilla CSS, SCSS, Bootstrap, Tailwind, React, Agile, Vue, JavaScript, Typescript, C#, and Java.

Visual Designer

I have a huge passion for design, from creating spaceships with Lego as a kid to designing websites that generate an estimated £63.2M per year today. Designing is something I look forward to every morning.

Search Engine Optimisation

I strive to create semantically perfect HTML for the ultimate SEO. I am fascinated by staying on top of how search engines tick and what their spiders crawl for.

Accessibility

Underpinning all my designs and front-ends is a deep understanding of accessibility. I strive to make user journeys as accessible as possible. Steering clear of keyboard traps, confusing hierarchy, and hard-to-process typography.

Lead Front-end Developer / UX Designer.

Leading a small team, I re-designed, greatly extended and built the front-end for three of the company's largest profit generating platforms.

I designed and built websites for top brands such as Disney and Channel 5. I worked with the team to create a bespoke CMS and helped create the company's brand.

Personal Interests

I am quite obsessed with CSS and continue this into my spare time but I also have a great passion for art and design, I love to paint and do other creative activities, for example, designing and building furniture, restoring furniture, DIY and cooking. I also love to write/compose songs, play the drums, and I have also been known to work the lighting and sound for local theatre groups.
